THE community of Dines Green had the chance to meet Evening News' reporter Liz Freeth and newspaper sales executive Chris Lane when they dropped in at The Green Centre yesterday.

People who turned up to the Gresham Road community centre, were given a free weekly windfall game card.

Each game card is given a different number, and if the number published in the Evening News on a Saturday matches up to the card then £100 is won.

While Chris was giving out game cards Dines Green reporter Liz chatted to residents about stories for the paper and comments about the Evening News.

"I enjoy going out into the community and meeting different people and yesterday gave me the perfect opportunity to do that," said Liz.

"I got a lot of useful comments on what people would like to see in the paper - for example, one man said he would like to read about more features on the history of Worcester.

"But the general consensus was that the Evening News was a balanced paper covering plenty of interesting issues and news stories."
