THE Evening News' Birthday Bonanza will kick off with a frying start at the Rose Avenue Fryer, which is offering readers a fishy prize.

The Rose Avenue Fryer, in Tolladine, has recently been refurbished and has made it to the last five out of 9,000 entries to be named Fish Shop of the Year by takeaway organisation The Sea Fryers.
For the past six years, the restaurant has also won The Sea Fryers Award for Quality.
