SHAKESPEARE'S marriage bond and other historic treasures will be on show to the public in a special "behind the scenes" event at Worcestershire County Council's Record Office.
The Records Office at County Hall on Spetchley Road in Whittington, Worcester, will open its doors between 7pm and 9pm today.
As well as a behind the scenes tour, staff will be on hand to advise visitors on how to research their family tree or how to look after their own documents.
"They can research the history of their house or their village," said Maggie Tohill, head of repository at the Records Office. The event has been organised as part of Archives Awareness Week.
