A WOMAN who normally does not have much luck in competitions has won £400 after playing an Evening News game.

Gloria Cummings is the second winner in the weekly windfall game.

Last Saturday was a rollover, with £200, but because Mrs Cummings has her Evening News home delivered from Ingrams Newsagents, in Claines, six nights a week, she doubled her money to £400.

"I'm so pleased about winning the money because it's the first thing I've ever won," said Mrs Cummings, aged 56.

"I couldn't believe it when I found out and thought it must be a mistake.

70,000 game cards have been sent out with the Evesham Journal, Droitwich Advertiser and Berrow's Worcester Journal.

Each Saturday a number is published in the Evening News and if the number matches up to the card then £100 is won.

Mrs Cummings, who lives with her 61-year-old husband Bob in Claines, said she is going to spend the money when on a holiday to France.

"I'll enjoy the trip even more with the £400," she said.

Evening News readers should look out for the next number this Saturday.

"If you haven't already got your game card you can pop into your local Evening News office and pick one up," said Sarah Taylor, promotions manager at the Evening News.
