HAIRDRESSERS and care homes are among many small businesses in the region leaving themselves vulnerable to losing employment tribunals, according to a law expert.
Julie Blakemore, an employment law specialist at Associa Employment Service, said many small businesses did not have a written set of rules and procedures.
"Without these rules, small businesses are at risk of losing tribunal claims, since the grounds for dismissal could be challenged," said Ms Blakemore.
