IN reply to Alan Cook (You Say, August 25) as a Christian I enjoy eating meat, just as much as the next person, but I totally abhor all wanton cruelty to animals.
I find coarse fishing - as a sport - objectionable, but I am not opposed to a fish being caught and immediately landed and killed for human consumption.
Also, I have no objections to the likes of the Sealed Knot or the Tally-ho fraternity riding on horseback and dressed in out-dated costumes, as long as it does not involve any cruelty to animals.
