EASTNOR Bowling Club held their annual invitation triples tournament on Bank Holiday Monday.
Twenty-eight teams drawn from bowling clubs throughout the three counties took part in the competition for the Larry Powell Memorial trophy and prize money of £135.
The competition was played in two qualifying groups, the winner of each group to contest the final.
After a highly competitive days bowling, which was still played in a friendly atmosphere, this year's final was between teams from Malvern Victoria BC and Ross on Wye BC. The winners after an extremely keenly contested game and by the narrowest margin of a single shot were Neil Williams and Eddie and Margaret King from Malvern Victoria who defeated Dennis Gardner, Ann Fishpool and Frank Garrett of Ross BC. The score 12-11.
