WOULD-BE kidnappers are being hunted by police after an attempt to snatch a woman in a Worcestershire village.
She was walking along a main road with her boyfriend in the early hours of yesterday morning when the incident happened.
A man unsuccessfully tried to pull the woman into a black BMW as she walked along the A38 in Kempsey, at around 1.30am.
The incident left the woman and her partner in shock, but police have few clues about the men.
Drove off
The only information they have so far is that there were possibly two men in the car, which drove off in the direction of Upton-upon-Severn.
Officers are also looking for a more detailed description of the attacker.
All they knew today was that he was a white male.
"We'd ask anyone who saw this incident to call us immediately on 08457 444 888, quoting 33-C-070903," a Worcester police spokesman added.
Witnesses can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
Callers' details will remain anonymous and an award could be paid if a successful arrest is made.
