MALVERN entertained local rivals Worcester Nomads in a Bank Holiday Monday league fixture and ended up with a losing draw in a high scoring and very entertaining game.
MALVERN v WORCESTER NOMADS
Worcester amassed a huge score of 284 with some superb innings from Malcolm Jones, Derek Austin and Steve Bowman being the highlights. Neil Thompson was the most successful bowler for Malvern with 4-77 and also enjoying no luck as for as catches were concerned.
Malvern replied with a very creditable effort of 225-8, Rob Francis hitting a quick fire 55, Mark Hooper a good 29 and Mark Baugh continued his recent good run of form with a fine 88. Adie Wooler took 3-65 off the visitors.
Malvern are away to Astwood Bank tomorrow ( Saturday).
