The Mayor's task is very difficult throughout the year. One has to be everything to all people. Gareth has made his personal comments known - that is a sure way towards getting oneself into trouble.
A small piece of advice. Councillors come and they go, mayors are elected from councillors, mayors come and they go, readers never forget who said what.
