WARWICKSHIRE continued to pile up the runs in the Second Eleven Championship match against Worcestershire at Barnt Green.

They resumed yesterday on 200-0 in reply to the County's bumper 686 and when bad light ended play early they were 482-2.

Jonathan Trott, on 111 not out overnight, went on to make a record-breaking 248 which included 41 fours and two sixes. He faced 309 balls.

Ian Westwood, who began the day on 85, remained undefeated on 176. He hit 24 fours and one six.
