MALVERN'S Big Brother contestant Nush Nowak suffered a broken thigh and shattered kneecap when she was mugged in London.
The 23-year-old, who starred this summer on the television reality show, was jumped by a man in the early hours of Thursday, August 21.
She fell to the ground and suffered a spiral fracture to her femur and a smashed kneecap. Her bag, containing £20 and a mobile phone, was snatched.
Surgeons at London's Royal Free Hospital have put a 12-inch metal rod through her thigh bone to keep it in place and her kneecap is being held together by wire.
Miss Nowak's mother, Elzbieta, drove from her Malvern home to comfort her daughter.
