SHOPPERS can help the environment and Kemp Hospice by re-using carrier bags while shopping at a Kidderminster supermarket.
For the whole of this year Sainsbury's will donate 1p for every plastic bag shoppers re-use to its Penny Back Scheme.
Kemp Hospice will share the proceeds with Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Fundraising manager Chris Ritchie welcomed the support and said Sainsbury's had run the scheme before but never for a full year.
Bag packing for shoppers at the supermarket on December 12 raised £611 for the hospice in just four hours.
