FOR more than a year Kemp Hospice has been enjoying the sweet taste of a cake company's generosity.

Now Katerfresh, a family firm employing nine people based at Far Forest Industrial Estate, has seen its monthly donations of cakes rewarded with champagne.

The sweets are given to be sold at the weekly coffee mornings held at Kidderminster Library in aid of the hospice.

Together with Tony's Bakery - which was recognised for its donations to the coffee mornings last week - Katerfresh's products have raised almost £3,000 for the hospice.

The firm's Elaine Cuckson said: "Kemp staff rang us up and introduced themselves and we thought it was a worthwhile cause."

Campaign manager John Fletcher said the hospice particularly appreciated the on-going support.

The coffee mornings take place every Thursday from 10am until noon.
