A REGAL performance will be supported by the king of all props when a musical extravaganza takes to the stage in aid of Kemp Hospice.

The King with Cold Feet will be performed at Kidderminster Town Hall tomorrow and Saturday evening - with the help of a pair of 8ft by 5ft fibre-glass feet which have been specially made by town boatbuilding firm Sealine.

"They're totally obscure - totally one-off," said Eliot Tandy, who plays the king in the musical and works for the Kidderminster company. Eliot Tandy steps in to a regal role, with the help of Kidderminster boatbuilder Sealine.

"It's a key prop that will be suspended from the ceiling. Lights will be inside them and as the king's cold feet warm up each toe will light up."

The musical, which includes 140 children from Kidderminster's Comberton Middle School choir as well as adult singers and dancers, is set to raise up to £2,000 for the Kemp appeal.

Director John Quelch said: "I'm absolutely confident - it will be brilliant."

Performances start at 7pm and for tickets contact the box office on 01562 748095.
