The group celebrated its 85th birthday by visiting the gardens at Stocktonbury, Kimbolton, near Leominster.
The original gardens were laid out in Victorian-style with a walled kitchen garden. Since the 1990s the gardens have been extended to include the Pigeon House garden, the Paddock gardens and Dingle garden. The site now covers around four acres.
Following a walk around the gardens, supper was served in the tithe barn.
The next meeting will be on Monday, September 8 in Mamble village hall, starting at 7.30pm.
There will be a demonstration of tatting (a form of making mats), the competition will be for the flower of the month, and there will be a trading stall.
