NATURE lovers are being urged to take a walk on the wild side and join in the hunt to catch a glimpse of a rare butterfly.
The Brown Hairstreak only occurs in the forest of Feckenham in the area around Grafton wood, near Grafton Flyford, Worcestershire.
This year's Hairstreak hunt will meet at 11am on Sunday at the Three Parishes Hall, next to the church at Grafton Flyford, which is just off the A422 Worcester to Stratford road.
"This event is always very popular and last year's Hairstreak hunters were rather spoiled with four sightings on just one stretch of hedgerow," said Trevor Bucknall, of Worcestershire Butterfly Conservation.
"Tension is always high to see which group spots the handsome Hairstreak first.
"Mobile phones then start buzzing with excitement to call the other groups over for a glimpse of this elusive species."
Members of the public are encouraged to take along a packed lunch.
