A MAIDEN half-century by 14-year-old Richard Harris was the highlight of Bewdley's 39-run win over King's Norton in a Sunday friendly.

He was watched by his father and grandfather, Hubie and Bert Harris, former stalwarts for Ombersley and Cutnall Green.

The teenager batted through the rest of the innings for his 71 not out when he replaced Derek Moses, with solid support from Simon Mauger and Andy Robinson (61).

Norton's reply started well but the introduced of Simon Higgs and Cyril Ramsey began a collapse.

Higgs (3-19) bowled with hostility for his deserved haul before Jack Mills, Robert Combes and Robinson finished off the innings.

Bewdley 202-5, King's Norton 163.
