STOURPORT suffered a three-wicket defeat at the hands of Romsley on Saturday as the flawless Walshes Meadow wicket yielded another avalanche of runs.
The home side were asked to bat first with Ian Delo and Dave Cook (75) launching a century partnership following a good start from openers Bryan Colley and Tom Gloster.
Phil Williams, Mark Moss and Neil Bailey all added useful runs but Delo fell for 98 in the last over as Stourport closed on 294-7.
After wickets for Bevan Neill and Chris Young, Romsley launched a blistering counter-attack. Brothers P Morgan (106 not out) and D Morgan (75) turned the game around.
Neill (4-75) threatened another twist as Romsley lost three quick wickets but the visitors held their nerve to win in 48 overs.
Stourport 294-7, Romsley 295-7.
The highlight of the seconds' winning draw at Romsley was a maiden century for Clive Judd in Stourport's 240-6.
There were important contributions from Simon Wright (23), Kev Haycock (29) and Bob Pittaway but Judd dominated with 104 not out.
Romsley showed little ambition in their reply as skipper John Downes rotated his bowlers with two wickets each for Martin Brewer, Steve Davis and Pittaway.
Stourport 2nds 240-6, Romsley 118-8.
