VIKRAM Solanki's bid to bat himself back into form proved successful when he hit a fine century on the opening day of Worcestershire's Second XI Championship match against Warwickshire at Barnt Green.
The England one-day international hit 116 off 157 balls including two sixes and 21 fours -- a welcome return to high scoring form for Solanki, who has reached double figures just twice in his last 11 innings in all cricket.
He was backed up by Stephen Moore whose 123 contained 23 fours, and Kadeer Ali, who was unbeaten on 66 as the County reached 396-3 by the close.
