A CHARITY is looking for residents to help improve the quality of life for people who have lost a significant part of their sight.

Worcestershire Association for the Blind wants to recruit volunteers to support those who may have become isolated due to their limited sight.

Basic tasks such as dealing with correspondence or getting out of the house can become difficult - if not impossible.

The association provides a befriending service which places a volunteer with a visually impaired person to provide support they need.

But people needing help outnumber available volunteers and 10 people are on the waiting list.

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer can call Helen Garfield or Peter Hart on 01905 723245.
