HEADLESS Cross day schools, which have been closed for the Summer holidays, will open on Monday next.

It is intended at the end of the school year in October to award prizes to the two best boys and girls in each standard who make the most satisfactory answers to the examiners.

It is also understood that children who were given leave of absence from the school on the occasion of Sunday school and other treats will be given their attendance marks.

Those who were absent cannot be marked as present but this will not affect their chances for prizes, which are awarded for attendance if during the year they have made the requisite number of attendances.
