A REPRESENTATIVE of University College Worcester has been invited to join a prestigious new group of education policy makers.
John Ryan, registrar at the Henwick Road college, will meet up with the UCAS/DfES Curriculum Development Group to help plan and direct pre-higher education learning.
The forum will include individuals from the Universities Central Councils on Admissions and the Department for Education and Skills.
And the invitation to join, alongside representatives of universities across the UK, is another feather in the cap of UCW.
"The Group has been set up as a channel of communication and consultation between the DfES and higher education in this country," says John Ryan.
"It's an honour to be asked to join the group and it's just one more example of how UCW is increasingly being asked to input at all levels to higher education policy and activity within the UK.
