HEY may have been stormed by Worcestershire's cricketing greats, but Shefali Oza's celebrity team refused to leave under a cloud after a Bank Holiday charity match at New Road.

Despite taking a battering from the likes of Graeme Hick, Vikram Solanki, Jamie Pipe and Steve Rhodes, the BBC weathergirl continued to egg on her side after opening the bowling during yesterday's fun day, which attracted a crowd of around 1,200.

Leading The Bunbury Pro Celebrity Team was David English, long time friend of benefit patron Ian Botham and record producer for the Bee Gees, who, over the years, has raised more than £9m for youth cricket.

One of the proudest players, however, was former Casualty and Robin of Sherwood star, Clive Mantle, who couldn't help but beam after catching out Hick - one of his all-time sporting heroes.

Funds were also raised for county cricketer David Leatherdale, who has played for Worcestershire for 15 years.

n The person who held programme number 1005 but had left the ground when the draw was called has won an autographed bat.

If this was your number, call Chris on 01905 774458.
