WORCESTERSHIRE, locked in battle at New Road today in the semi-final of the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy against Lancashire, turn their attention back to National League Division One action on Monday when they take on Kent Spitfires in a floodit clash at Canterbury (4.10pm).
The County go into the match on the back of two successive league wins over Surrey Lions and Glamorgan Dragons.
The double triumph has helped ease their relegation worries and given them a slight chance of challenging at the top end of the table.
New Road chief executive Mark Newton said today: "Recent results in the league indicate the title is not out of reach yet. Wins against Surrey and Glamorgan have given us an outside opportunity, so every game is important.
"Kent are in the relegation zone so I am sure there will be a big crowd at Canterbury."
Worcestershire have already beaten Kent by 139 runs at New Road in May thanks to a century by Graeme Hick and a five-wicket haul from David Leatherdale.
