A MUM and daughter have given birth within 65 minutes of one another.

Jane Aubrey and 19-year-old Kerri Bulloch have always been close, but they have taken their special bond that bit further.

Kerri gave birth to a beautiful girl at 7.10pm on Thursday and Jane gave birth to a bouncing baby boy at 8.15pm. That makes the newly-born girl older than her uncle.

In another twist of fate, neither knew the other was in labour. Both were taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital separately and were told of the coincidence afterwards.

The Evening News exclusively revealed in May how the two, who both live in Ronkswood, and both work at Rumpole's Caf at Worcester Crown Court, were enjoying sharing the joys of pregnancy.

Before the births, Jane, who is keeping mum about her age, told of her special bond with her daughter.

"We've always been close, but we admit this is taking it too far."

Colleagues and friends at Rumpole's caf gave a huge cheer when they heard the news.

"We were all delighted to hear the good news and we're amazed to hear they have both given birth so close to one another," said catering manager Sally Winter.

"We hope they're both well and that the family enjoys the new additions."

Jane and Kerri - between them mother, grandmother and sister all on the same day - were due to arrive home from hospital last night.
