UPTON residents are being warned against a new scam which sees printed cards being delivered through letterboxes saying a parcel for the householder, containing valuable items, is being held in a warehouse. The recipient is asked to send a cheque for £11.90 within seven days for the parcel's delivery. Anyone who receives such a card should call police on 08457 444 888.
