A FENG Shui expert and interior designer has turned her hand to capturing the spirit of the Malvern Hills and the results will be exhibited this month.
Colours of Malvern, pastels and acrylics by former Chase High School pupil Patricia Marshall, is on show at the Lyttelton Gallery from August 11-23.
The dramatic and vibrant pieces are her interpretation of the hills' changing moods through the seasons.
She said: "The hills are so ancient and powerful. Whatever else may change, they are always there. When I've been away, I see them as a sign I am home."
Patricia was born in Nottingham but grew up in Powick before beginning art training at Stourbridge College.
She did a degree in 3D Design at Leicester University and then moved into interior design for pubs and restaurants.
An interest in Feng Shui, the art of arranging objects and furniture in a room to create a good atmosphere, developed from there.
"I am interested chiefly in colour" she explained "that is evident in my painting and my interior design work. I'm like a child with a box of paints!"
Working mainly from photographs and sketches, Patricia produces sweeping, energetic landscapes, some of which are pictured on her website, www.redhotmouse.com.
