A house-to-house collection by Pauntley Christian Aid in Ketford, Pool Hil, and Compton raised the sum of £67.82. Mrs Anne Solesbury would like to thank everyone for the support and cheerful generous giving.
If anyone would like to take part in the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust annual cycle/horse ride, please contact Mrs Jane Bristow (01531 821028). The ride is on Saturday, September 13.
On Sunday (August 10) the service at Saint John the Evangelist Church, Pauntley, will be Matins at 10.15am, conducted by Mrs Jessie Williams.
Sympathy has been extended to the family and friends of Mr Tim Thornton who died recently. He is being sadly missed at Pauntley Church. As well as being a member of the Parochial Church Council he was a lesson reader and sidesman.
There will be no sewing meeting during August. These resume again in September.
