YOUNGSTERS in Wychavon will be able to enjoy parties in the parks this month.
As well as skateboarding, basketball and music from town bands, there will also be a 50-foot inflatable obstacle course at the events, organised by Wychavon District Council.
"It's a great chance for the young people in our towns to get together in one place to enjoy these activities or even to just hang out with one another," said Wychavon development officer Jem Teal.
"Similar events were held last year and thousands of people turned up.
"Feedback shows that we really hit the spot.
"It's a great opportunity for the district's musical talent to be put on display and, who knows, we may be watching famous bands and singers of the future.
"It's important that people in the area know the council recognises their needs and I hope even more come along this year to have a good time."
The Party in the Parks events, from 12noon to 4pm, will be staged at Lido Park, Droitwich, on Wednesday, August 13, Abbey Park, Pershore, on Monday, August 18, and Abbey Park, Evesham, on Wednesday, August 27.
