I recommend that sceptics read the Formal Inquiry document which states clearly that the opening of the bypass should have reduced the ' through traffic ' to less than 10%.
It has remained constant at approx. 40% and is actually going faster, mainly as a result of some of our neighbouring Villagers using the route as a ' rat run ' to and from Pershore.
The consultant had no choice but to protect the narrow main street, in a conservation area with listed buildings and ancient monuments.
The extra journey time is a maximum of 65 seconds, not MINUTES; let's stop the questions, come and enjoy Wyre Piddle and Upper Moor in peace and tranquillity and remember the bridge is open to all you keen cyclists and walkers.
Gary Robinson, Avon Green, Wyre Piddle.
