A RENOWNED county hotel has bucked the national trend by ending its financial year on a high.
At a time when many hotels are having problems with occupancy rates, the Brockencote Hall Hotel, in Chaddesley Corbett, near Kidderminster, welcomed more than 5,500 staying guests - an increase of seven per cent on last year.
Owners, Alison and Joseph Petitjean, also saw more than 9,000 diners as well as lunchtime visitors walk through their doors.
"What we offer here is different to what your average hotel can provide," said Mr Petitjean.
"We are officially rated as one of the top 200 hotels in the UK and from an accommodation point of view, we offer people the chance to stay in a quality room, with quality fittings and furnishings."
Great
Mrs Petitjean added that it felt great to have bucked the general trend that other hotels are reporting.
"We know with 80 per cent of our guests returning to stay with us again, that we are doing something right," she said.
