A BAND will be going, going, on stage at a Far Forest pub to raise money for a children's playgroup.
Wyre Forest outfit The Aliens will be holding a charity auction at the Horse and Jockey pub on August 15 and are inviting bidders to bring along a tent and camp for free in a field at the back of the pub.
The band, who play a mixture of popular music from the 60s, 70s and 80s, will be auctioning off a range of items, including guitars and watches.
They will also be performing a live show and holding a ceilidh for the first time in public.
The band's manager Jonathon Pardoe, from Kidderminster, said barbecued food would also be available, with all the money raised at the auction going to the Cleobury Mortimer Playgroup.
"Hopefully we're going to get a lot of people and raise a couple of hundred quid," he said.
"The idea is that everyone will get involved and there's nothing like a good auction to get the audience going."
The Aliens, whose members are from Kidderminster and Worcester, are resident band at The Talbot pub in Bewdley where they perform every month.
They also have regular gigs at the Swan Hotel in Stourport and other pubs, hotels and weddings across the county.
Their last charity auction at Stourport Boat Club raised £133 for Kidderminster Hospital.
More information on the event which starts at 7pm can be obtained by calling Mr Pardoe on 07801 517421.
