Government money from Community Against Drugs has funded the classes which have gone down a storm.

Youthworker Cath Round said: "Young people usually get bored and the summer holidays are a good time to introduce new activities and experiences which can provide a deviation from anti-social behaviour.

"The response has been tremendous and the young people are really excited about visiting Bob's gym. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them signed up and took more of an interest in boxing."

Other activities ofered to the 50 members of Youthworcs Stourport this summer have included DJ workshops, sailing and motorbiking.

The Windermere Way centre re-opened on Monday following a three-month refurbishment.
