A BROADWAY man's long battle with depression came to an end when his wife found him hanging in the garage of their family home.
At an inquest on Tuesday, Worcestershire coroner Victor Round recorded a verdict of death by hanging on 59-year-old Brian Pearson, of Evesham Road.
Mr Round said the incident last Sunday followed two previous attempts to take his own life.
Reading from a statement given by Mrs Pearson, Mr Round said: "He had a long battle with depression. When he came home from hospital after the last attempt on August 1 he said he was very sorry for what he had done and said he would not do it again."
Mr Round said that he was satisfied that Mr Pearson, who used to work as a foreman in an avionics factory, had indeed taken his own life, even though no suicide note was found.
