A PERSHORE man is to appear at Gloucester Crown Court tomorrow accused of causing the death of a 73-year-old Cotswolds woman in a four-car pile-up last November.

David Eversham, aged 61, of Bredon View Farm, Pershore, is charged with causing the death of Patricia Dunnett, of Broad Campden, near Chipping Campden.

She died when her white Ford Fiesta XR2 was involved in a collision on the B4632 Broadway to Toddington Road near the Laverton turning on November 14.

The inquest last Thursday, which was adjourned to a date to be fixed, was told she was driving to Cheltenham to meet her daughter and two friends when the accident happened.

Mr Eversham was driving his Rover saloon car when it was involved in the collision with Mrs Dunnett's vehicle, a Range Rover, and a Mercedes saloon.

At Cheltenham Magistrates court today he was formally committed during a five minute hearing, at Gloucester crown court.

On that date he will make a preliminary appearance and may be asked to enter his plea to the charge. The magistrates granted him unconditional bail.
