VAL Pedlingham and her Hereford team-mates stormed into the last 16 of the National Express Women's English National Fours Bowls Championship at Royal Leamington Spa last night.
Pedlingham and her club mates Toby Bennett, Val Brookes and Joan Jones found themselves 9-6 down to Kay Kerley's Hampshire side after seven ends of their second round clash.
But Pedlingham soon found her magic touch, winning 20-16.
This followed a 25-15 win in the opening round over Viv Jones's team from Thame, Oxfordshire.
Lynn Sandoz's side from the Gilt Edge Club, Kidderminster made an explosive start with a 27-11 win over Lynda Childs and her Huntingdonshire team, but they then lost 27-16 to Yorkshire's Melanie Brooke.
Joyce Bishop's Kingsland, Herefordshire side lost 33-7 to Sue Hoskins' Dorset team in the first round, while Joy Morgan and Bromsgrove clubmates Gill Reece, Olwyn Craddock and Audrey Bright lost 27-19 to June Checketts' four from Donyatt, Somerset.
