WHY do I and other parents of children at Bayton find ourselves fighting to keep our school open?
Firstly, Bayton is not in the Wyre Forest area, so should not have been included in the Wyre Forest review of education provision.
We pay our Council Tax to Malvern Hills District Council.
Bayton is a primary school and is already part of the two-tier system, not three-tier as others in the Bewdley area.
Our school is the only one under the Bewdley first/primary heading to be full.
We have a popular, thriving village school in Bayton. It has just received its third consecutive school achievement award.
Bayton School should be promoted as an example of what a good school should be, not under threat of closure.
