ELDERLY people are being warned to be on their guard after a rogue salesman stole money from a 95-year-old Stourport man.
Police are appealing for information after £50 was stolen from the pensioner's wallet shortly after 3pm on Friday, after he bought dishcloths from a caller at his house in Wilden Lane.
The offender, a clean-shaven black man, about 35 years old, with a large build and short dark hair, then asked the man for a drink of water and stole the money while he was getting it.
The offender was wearing a dark suit with a dark shirt and carrying a large white rucksack.
Kidderminster Police are urging anyone with information to contact them on 08457 444888. Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555111.
