VOLLEYBALL star Rachel Bragg has been selected to represent Great Britain at the World University Games later this month.
But the Kidderminster teenager's preparations suffered a setback when she picked up a back injury in a pre-tournament tour of Sweden.
Britain dominated Elite Division side Kolbacks in a three-match series but starting swing hitter Bragg was struck by the problem in the opening clash.
The Loughborough player, who is a student in the town, will still make the squad for the games in Daegu, Korea, from August 21 until 31.
Coach Craig Handford said: "It was unfortunate that Rachel Bragg was injured early in the tour as it robbed us of a chance of seeing her play a different role in the team.
"If we can keep up this rate of improvement for the remainder of our preparation time we will surprise some teams in Korea."
Britain, who play more preparation matches in Belgium from tomorrow, won the series 3-0, 3-1 and 2-1.
