Theatre fans are in for a real treat this August at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford.

The Company is giving people the chance to win a Golden Ticket which will allow the winner 2 seats for every RSC Stratford production for a whole year!

Everyone who buys, or has already bought, a ticket to see an August performance of an RSC Stratford show will be entered into a special draw.

Entries to the competition will close at 8pm on Saturday30 August, and then on Monday 1 September a draw will take place to see who has won the Golden Ticket.

The winner will then be able to see every RSC Stratford show between September 2003 - September 2004, including All's Well That Ends Well with Dame Judi Dench, Othello with Sir Antony Sher, and the RSC's Christmas show, Laurence Boswell's new adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.

August is an ideal time for people to buy tickets to RSC shows. Between Monday 25 - Saturday 30 August the Company is running a special Festival Proms Week.

Two hundred of the best tickets in the house will be on offer for all performances in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre (RST) at the discounted price of only £10 each. Proms Week Tickets will only be available to those booking in person, from 9am on the day of each performance at the RST box office.

Festival 'prommers' will be able to see three of Shakespeare's most diverse works: The Taming of the Shrew, Measure for Measure and Richard III. And, of course they could win the Golden Ticket too!

As if that's not enough, the RSC is also presenting TOP Summer, an eclectic programme of intimate drama, live music and theatre workshops. TOP Summer runs in The Other Place Theatre between 15-31 August.

Michael Boyd, RSC Artistic Director said: "There's so much going in Stratford during August. The Festival Proms Week is a great opportunity for people to try out some of the Bard's most absorbing plays, and for just a tenner each. And on top of that there's a wonderful chance for one lucky person to win a Golden Ticket. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all."
