A CHANGING rooms style make-over for the resource room at the entrance to St Mary's Church in Tenbury Wells is about to go into action.
Tenbury team ministry trio, rector Alan Jevons, vicar Claire Lording, and curate Sue Foster, are planning a user-friendly building to house church records and cope with the day-to-day office work for the parishes.
Plans also include a small parish library incorporating a neutral meeting place where people can drop in and chat over a cup of coffee.
Redecoration
However, much refurbishment is needed inside and out, including redecoration, floor coverings, seating, office furniture and equipment. Bedford Dials has already donated a photocopier and computer monitor, but a computer, printer and desks are still needed.
These are expensive items and to get the fund-raising ball rolling, a fun-filled coffee morning with plant, cakes and bric-a-brac stalls, plus a few, not too taxing games and activities, have been arranged for Saturday, August 23, at the Burford Rectory.
Donations of unwanted office desks, furniture and day-to-day equipment needed to get the resource base up and running, and people keen to help with the re-decorations, will be most welcome by the St Mary's team.
