PUPILS from Tenbury Primary School Impact, have enjoyed the experiencepart of a five day Summer School Programme of activities funded by the New Oppertunities Fund.
It is a four year project taking place in 47 schools around the West Midlands and reaching around 1,130 pupils from different backgrounds.
In collaboration with artist Alison Ogle the Tenbury pupils, two lead teachers and classroom assistants have been busy creating a unique piece of art work for the benefit the whole community and remain in the playground for all to see.
Captured
The entire creative experience has been captured on digital cameras which will be uploaded onto the Impact web site for children, parents, staff and artist to share with people much further afield.
As well as being fun and producing a permanent installation, the Impact on the children who take part will hopefully increase expectations, and abilities, help form strong, balanced relationships with adults and peers and improve school attendance through positive experience.
The project, managed online at www.impactmag.net makes the whole experience interactive and accessible to everyone in the community.
