A £50,000 scheme to solve a serious drainage problem that could cause flash flooding is to be carried out by Malvern Hills District Council.
The flaw in the drainage system has been discovered on the business park at Clark's Meadow, Bromyard Road, Tenbury Wells, where dips in the piping could collect water and eventually silt up.
It came to light when Severn Trent Water's engineers inspected the system with a view to adopting it from the council.
Plans are now being drawn up to re-lay part of the system and refurbish other sections.
"It's important that we get to grips with the problem, because the business park represents a vital part of Tenbury's local economy and employment base," said Councillor Roger Sutton, holder of the council's environment portfolio.
