YOUNGSTERS made the most of a play day that featured face painting, a bouncy castle and a mobile disco among other attractions.
More than 2,000 youngsters, aged from around two to 14, attended yesterday's event at The Countryside Centre, Spetchley, near Worcester.
The day was funded by a £2,000 grant from Children in Need and a £1,000 grant from Sure Start.
Worcester City Council and Worcester Play Council organised the event, for youngsters at play schemes from all over Worcester.
"It was a great day. Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves," said Jude Langton, community development officer.
"There was plenty of playing going on, which was the whole point."
