VILLAGERS at Ashton-under-Hill are being invited to vote for their favourite hymn to help turn up the heat at the parish church.
A list of 50 hymns has been circulated to householders and the top choices will form the programme for a special Songs of Praise in St Barbara's Church on Sunday, August 24.
The Songs of Praise is one of the highlights of a late August Bank Holiday weekend Flower Festival in church which is being organised to raise money to replace the heating system in St Barbara's.
