BARNARDS Green found their effort thwarted by the weather on Saturday in their Worcestershire County League Division Three game against Birlingham at North End Lane.

Green had raced to a superb total of 289-5 with Dan Flynn starring with a brilliant 136no, well supported by J Clarke with 44.
The visitors inning never got started at the rains fell, Green claiming just nine points and Birlingham seven points.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Barnards Green are away at Worcester Dominies & Guild in another league fixture.
