THE Proculture trial ground at Knowle Hill, Badsey, will be open from 10am to 4pm on Friday, August 15, with an international display of plants.

The focus of the trial grounds is new perennial plants for introduction in 2004, in particular 10 new Pensham Penstemon from Edward Wilson, of Pensham, Pershore, new pelargoniums, Sonic and Super Sonic mpatiens from Fischer, Germany will be on display for 2004 and 2005 introduction.

Derek Jarman, sales director of Proculture Plants Ltd, said the Super Sonic impatiens were of particular interest to the British market because of the massive size of the flower on strong plants.

The complete range of Gallery Dahlias, a dwarf patio dahlia range that has collected many RHS Awards of Garden Merits over the past couple of years, the Classic range of dark leaf dahlias and the Dalina range will be displayed.

New items from the Suntory ranges of Surfinia, Million Bells and Temari will also be on display, along with Donalena and Veralena verbenas from Histill, Israel, New items from Schmuelling, Germany, include a new range of fuchsias, bred for their upright facing flowers.
