BROMSGROVE'S Tory MP Julie Kirkbride was first to post mail in the newly acquired letterbox outside Marlbrook Post Office.
Residents of Marlbrook had written to the Royal Mail requesting they relocate the posting box from the former Post Office on Marlbrook Road to outside the One Stop Shop on Old Birmingham Road.
Ms Kirkbride took up their cause and supported their drive to get a new post box.
She said: "I am delighted that Royal Mail has responded to my requests and those of the local residents to get this important facility in place."
