MATTHEW Mills failed to make it a nap hand of men's titles at Broadway Golf Club last Sunday when he lost out at the final hole after a 36-hole thriller.
Steve Gilks was crowned club champion after firing in a birdie at the last t add a round of 71 to his morning effort of 70.
The three-handicapper's last-gasp saved stroke prevented Mills, playing off one, claiming a fifth successive crown after rounds of 72 and 70 left the reigning champion just one shot adrift at the end of a breathtaking day's golf.
